Ophthalmic products at CES 2018 included the Dynafocals smart reading glasses by PH Technical Labs of Plano, Texas. The conference was held Jan. 7-12 in Las Vegas.

The glasses dynamically change focus for the user based on what is viewed using a distance sensing chip and standard progressive lens. The glasses allow the user to see distant objects, computer screens, or near print without changing head positions, PH Technical says.

The company describes the glasses as providing a complete solution for all focus vision needs in a sleek, comfortable, and affordable pair of glasses.

PH Technical says it plans to launch the glasses in the middle of 2018.

The company was named a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree in November.

The CES 2018 conference draws more than 180 thousand attendees and 4 thousand exhibitors.
