Vivinex IOL with 4-in-1 MultiSert Preloaded Delivery System

Hoya Surgical Optics has obtained CE mark for its Vivinex IOL with the new multiSert 4-in-1 preloaded delivery system, the Tokyo-based company reported May 7.

The Vivinex multiSert is expected to be commercially available to cataract surgeons in selected countries in September, and it will be available in clear and yellow lenses, Hoya said.

The multiSert offers cataract surgeons either a two-handed screw or a one-handed technique while implanting the IOL, Hoya said.

It also comes with an insert shield that allows the user to either implant the IOL directly into the capsular bag or through the incision tunnel, when the insert shield is advanced, the company said.
