Rayner Launching 600C Monofocal Aspheric IOL in US

April 13, 2018: By Jon Swedien

Rayner is launching the 600C Aspheric intraocular lens (IOL), the company announced April 10.

Rayner said it planned to unveil the lens at the 2018 ASCRS meeting and the IOL would be available after the conference.

The 600C Aspheric is a hydrophilic acrylic aspheric monofocal IOL with Rayner’s Amon-Apple 360° Enhanced Square Edge.

Its design requires only a sub-2.2 mm incision IOL and retains the optical performance of its predecessor, the Rayner C-flex, Rayner said.

The lens is also aberration neutral, allowing patients to benefit from the natural residual positive aberration of the cornea, and it is available across the full power range (+8.0 D to +34.0 D), Rayner said.
