Aerpio Shares Begin Trading on OTCQB Market

Aerpio-logoAerpio Pharmaceuticals announced Aug. 8 that shares of the company’s common stock were cleared for trading on the OTC Market Group’s OTCQB Market in the US. The shares began trading under the ticker symbol “ARPO” the same day.

The OTCQB Market is for early-stage and developing US and international companies.

In March, Cincinnati-based Aerpio raised about $40 million in gross proceeds through a private placement of the company’s common stock to further clinical development activities, including advancement of its lead program, AKB-9778, for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, the company said.
