Zeiss has completed the steel “topping out” phase of its new US headquarters for Zeiss medical technology, the German company announced July 15.
The 208,650-square-foot facility is being constructed on 13.5 acres in Dublin, California, and is scheduled for completion in Q4-2020. It will provide workplaces for 700, as well as customer experience centers for medical technology and microscopy.
The company’s medical technology is developed and marketed by its Carl Zeiss Meditec division, which provides a broad range of ophthalmic products. The division employs about 3,050 people worldwide.
Zeiss said in its announcement that the new site is one in a string of international projects aimed at expanding, modernizing, and realigning the company’s locations.
