New OTC Eye Lubricants Available from AbbVie, Ocusoft

AbbVie Launches Refresh Tears PF and Refresh Relieva PF Xtra
AbbVie has introduced two new preservative-free lubricant eye drop products—Refresh Tears PF and Refresh Relieva PF Xtra.
AbbVie, of North Chicago, Illinois, said the new products feature a soft-squeeze, multidose bottle design that is easier to squeeze than traditional bottles; more convenient than single-dose vials; and features a “double lockout” system to keep the drops sterile.
The preservative-free formula offers better relief for sensitive eyes, the company said. Both products feature AbbVie’s HydroCell technology, a salt-free, glycerin-based solution that aids in rehydration and sustains cell volume on the ocular surface.
Ocusoft Introduces Retaine Allergy Artificial Tears for Itch Relief
Ocusoft, of Rosenberg, Texas, announced on July 25 the launch of Retaine Allergy olopatadine hydrochloride (USP 0.2%) artificial tears.
The antihistamine eye drops are directed for use once daily to provide itch relief from pet dander, pollen, grass, ragweed, and other contaminants.
