Ophtec Launches Precizon Go Enhanced Monofocal IOL
Author: Jennie Crabbe
Dutch company Ophtec announced Dec. 11 the launch of its Precizon Go intraocular lens (IOL), a “monofocal plus” lens designed to provide distance and enhanced intermediate vision.
Precizon Go features a non-diffractive design, with a smooth continuous surface, and no visual artifacts such as glare or halos, Ophtec says.
The IOL is implanted with the IOLmatic injector system. Ophtec says that in just two clicks the injector is connected to the lens holder, loaded with the IOL, and ready to use.
Ophtec’s Precizon IOL line now includes presbyopia-correcting and toric models, plus monofocal and enhanced monofocal lenses. The company also markets the Artiflex and Artiplus phakic lenses for refractive patients.
Precizon Go received CE marking in September 2023. The company said the lens is now available in the EU, South Africa, and South Korea, with more countries set to be added in H1-2024.
